Accounting Director

* Will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The role ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS). * Will also lead and mentor the accounting team and support senior management with strategic financial planning and analysis.

1. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with local government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Manage annual audits and coordinate with
external auditors.

2. Accounting Operations:
- Handles the monthly closing entities from transaction recording to submission of full package Financial Statements
- Reviews Financial Statements – trending analysis, variance analysis, drivers and root cause analysis;
- Performs and submits monthly executive summary to incorporating significant financial reports;
- Reviews and leads account reconciliation processes and improvements;
- Primary contact during quarter, interim and annual audit performed by external and internal auditors;
- Project lead in conceptualizing, executing and implementing accounting handbook.
- Overall focal for all RTR processes, projects and ad hoc requirements;

3. Strategic Financial Planning:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance.

4. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure the accounting team is aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

5. Special Projects:
- Lead special projects and initiatives, such as system implementations and process redesigns.
- Provide financial expertise and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other business development activities.
- Spearheaded project automation

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

SALARY RANGE: Php. 100,000.00 - 120,000.00
