Duties of a Food Runner

Deliver Food Orders Promptly and Accurately

Ensure orders are correct and served to the right table.

Deliver food quickly while maintaining presentation standards.

Communicate Between Kitchen and Service Staff

Act as a liaison between chefs and servers to ensure smooth flow of food service.

Inform servers or guests of any delays or changes in orders.

Assist with Table Setup and Clearing

Help prepare tables before and clean them after service.

Ensure utensils, condiments, and napkins are properly placed.

Maintain Food Presentation and Quality

Check that dishes meet presentation standards before serving.

Handle food carefully to avoid spills or damage.

Support Wait Staff and Kitchen Crew

Refill water glasses, condiments, or bread as needed.

Restock service stations and run other errands for the team.

Handle Customer Requests

Respond politely and promptly to guests’ questions or needs.

Relay feedback or concerns to appropriate team members.

Follow Health and Safety Standards

Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.

Wear proper uniform and follow establishment protocols
