Job Description

Reservation Handling: Manage incoming reservation requests via phone, email, or online platforms, ensuring accurate entry of details such as guest names, dates, times, and special requests.
Seating Plan Management: Coordinate with the restaurant’s seating plan to ensure efficient use of tables and seating capacity, especially during peak hours.
Customer Service: Respond to guest inquiries regarding availability, special events, group bookings, and other related concerns.
Reservation Confirmations: Contact guests to confirm reservations, remind them of upcoming bookings, and update any changes to the reservation.
Manage Walk-ins: Monitor the waiting list for walk-ins, keeping guests informed about wait times and managing expectations during busy periods.
Guest Preferences: Record and update guest preferences and special occasions (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries) to ensure a personalized experience.
Coordination with Front-of-House and Back-of-House Staff: Communicate reservation details, including guest preferences and any special arrangements, to the front-of-house team. Coordination also with the Head Chef for coordination of teppan availability.
Report Preparation: Maintain and provide reports on reservation trends, no-shows, cancellations, and seating efficiency.
Conflict Resolution: Address any issues arising from double bookings, cancellations, or guest complaints, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
Maintain Reservation System: Ensure the reservation system is updated regularly and that any software issues are reported promptly.
Other duties may be assigned.
