Job Description

URGENT ! ! ! DIRECT HIRE ! ! !

1. Government Bidding Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying and pursuing government bidding opportunities.
- Analyze government procurement trends, policies, and requirements to inform bidding strategies.

2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team specializing in government contracts to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities focused on government procurement processes.

3. Opportunity Identification:
- Monitor government portals, RFIs, RFPs, and other sources to identify potential bidding opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key government officials and procurement officers.

4. Proposal Development:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality, compliant proposals that address government requirements and demonstrate the company’s value proposition.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and technical departments, to develop competitive and compelling proposals.

5. Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with government agencies to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Ensure all contractual agreements comply with company policies and government regulations.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all bids and contracts comply with federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with government contracts and bidding processes.

7. Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for government clients during the bidding and contract execution phases.

8. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on bidding activities, success rates, market trends, and client feedback for senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools to track bidding activities and maintain up-to-date records.

Minimum Qualification Standards
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years focused on government bidding and contracts.
- Proven track record of securing government contracts and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed.
