Job Description

The Business Development Officer plays an important role in achieving the sales targets and generating revenue for the organization. This position is responsible for setting, implementing, meeting, and ensuring realistic and achievable sales targets of company Knowledge Management through effective planning, budgeting, and implementation.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Devises strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets.
2. Establishes new accounts by organizing and planning daily work schedule to build on existing on potential sales outlets.
3. Maps potential customers and generates leads for the organization. He should look forward to generating new opportunities for the organization.
4. Conducts market research: newly introduced products, delivery schedules, pricing, merchandising techniques; competitor and customer analysis; analyzes data to identify sales opportunities.
5. Develops promotional ideas and materials such as sales presentations and proposals, and/or attends trade meetings and industry conventions.
6. Studies the type of sales outlet and adjusts content of sales presentations.
7. Generates timely sales reports, coordinate and monitor sales activities, manage lost sales and customer accounts, and forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue.
8. Maintains necessary data and records for future reference for tracking, collating, and interpreting sales figures.
9. Promotes and ensures the popularity of the brand and its products to the consumers.
10. Maintains and cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts/clients.
11. Adheres to the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
12. Attends product orientations, educational workshops, review publications, job-related trainings and/or company-initiated trainings when necessary and involves oneself in professional societies.
13. Contributes to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals.
14. Communicates issues or concerns encountered to immediate superior.
15. Ensures compliance to company rules and regulations, which shall include but not limited to the Employee Code of Discipline, the policies on Quality Management System (QMS), Information Security Management System (ISMS), Environment Health & Safety (EHS), and Environmental Management System (EMS); and other duties and responsibilities prescribed for all company Innovations employees.
16. Ensures compliance of all Non-Conformity Corrective Action Preventive Action Concession (NCAPACs) and all other audit findings within the prescribed period.
17. Reports security incidents and / or any identified security weaknesses.
18. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
▪ At least 3-4 year of experience in planning and implementing sales strategy, such as technical sales skills, customer relationship management, knowledge of market research, relevant product and industry
▪ At least 1 year sales of experience in handling school and corporate accounts (software, education or medical industry as preference)
▪ Fluent in English with a neutral accent, and with good command of the language in both speaking and writing
▪ Strong technical abilities in basic PC operations and MS Office Tools
▪ Knowledgeable on the Internet and can easily learn and use client provided applications and software
▪ Strong ability to prospect, negotiate and close sales opportunities
▪ Strong decision-making, planning, organizing, problem analysis and problem solving skills
▪ Customer service-oriented with the ability to meet sales goals
▪ Diplomacy in dealing with clients
▪ Exudes confidence, positive mentality and manages territories effectively
▪ Persuasive, adaptable, innovative and flexible
