Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is primarily responsible understanding and articulating expressed and unexpressed market needs and how they translate into the product roadmap and the rollout of products per Market Segment. He/She coordinates, and oversees development and management of new products and services for both existing and new markets.
The job incumbent is in charge of product development from inception to launch process, ensuring that projects are planned and facilitated based on the market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape and profitability. The BDM ensures that the projects are efficiently managed in accordance with product development standards and procedures, and monitors product performance.He/she liaises with partners, suppliers and relevant parties in different channels as neededto secure each product’s existence and optimization.
The BDM works with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that their products meet customers’ needs and expectations. The role involves managing budgets and resources as well as working with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders involved in building a new product or service.

1. Interprets research data to gain insights into market trends and customer needs.
2. Conducts additional market and product research to stay ahead of competitors.

4. Anticipates potential product offerings and implements mandates from the Corporate Strategy and Marketing Director.

2. Addresses resource constraints and escalates issues through the proper channels.
3. Establishes effective project communication strategies throughout the entire ideation process.

1. Conducts post-launch assessments by analyzing financial, marketing, and product development cycle data.
2. Identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations in post-launch assessment reports.

1. Prepares regular and real-time Project Status Reports for the Corporate Strategy and Marketing Director, COO, and other stakeholders.
2. Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes relevant project information.
3. Recommends a plan of action when necessary.

Minimum Qualification Standards
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, management, or any business – related course
• At least 12 years of relevant work experience, min. of 5 year managerial experience. Must have experience in Product Development, Marketing, Sales and/or Project Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
