Job Description
One employee working in the company for 24 years will resign, so they need a replacement.
The candidate should be fluent in Japanese and work in the role of a Japanese interpreter as well.
They want a Japanese speaker with CAD skills or someone eager/capable of studying CAD (AutoCAD is enough).
Responsibilities:
PCB/PWB Design and Modification
Use CAD tools such as Altium Designer and OrCAD to create and modify printed circuit board (PCB) layouts (2D and 3D).
Handle complex, high-density multi-layer board designs (e.g., 10-layer boards with over 3,000 pins like DDR2 circuits).
Collaboration with Engineers
Work closely with engineering teams in the Philippines and in Japan to understand design requirements and specifications.
Participate in design reviews and meetings to suggest improvements or resolve issues.
Design Optimization and Quality Assurance
Ensure designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
Follow industry standards and quality control procedures to ensure compliance and precision.
Documentation and Recordkeeping
Prepare and manage technical documentation such as Bill of Materials (BOM), manufacturing instructions, and design revisions.
Maintain detailed records of design changes for traceability.
Project Scheduling and Coordination
Monitor the progress of design projects to meet deadlines.
Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery.
Japanese to English (vice versa) translation during meetings, etc. (there are 3 Japanese expatriates who are not fluent in English), so you may be asked to translate and assist in their daily tasks.

・The company provides Japanese lessons and also provides Japanese allowance as well as opportunities to Japan for training with a JLPT passer, and also CAD skills.
