Job description
The Vice President of Operations is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations across multiple projects in the Philippines. This role ensures efficient project execution, adherence to legal and safety standards, and alignment with company strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership and Planning

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
Participate in high-level planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Drive initiatives to improve productivity, safety, and cost-efficiency.
2. Project Oversight and Management

Supervise multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors.
Monitor progress reports and intervene when necessary to resolve delays or issues.
3. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure all operations comply with Philippine laws (e.g., DPWH standards, Building Code, DOLE regulations).
Oversee permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
4. Financial Oversight

Manage operational budgets and control expenditures.
Analyze financial reports and identify areas for cost savings.
Oversee bidding and procurement processes.
5. Team Leadership and Development

Lead and mentor project managers and department heads.
Support HR in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of operations staff.
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
6. Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Attend client meetings, present project updates, and address concerns.
Represent the company in public or industry functions as needed.
7. Technology and Process Improvement

Oversee implementation of construction technology (e.g., BIM, project management software).
Evaluate and improve internal processes and workflows.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (Master’s degree preferred)
Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) is a strong advantage
Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in large-scale construction operations
Proven experience in executive or senior leadership roles
Strong knowledge of Philippine construction laws, labor laws, and permitting
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and project management skills
