Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ERP Release Management Specialist with a solid background in ITIL practices. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of ERP system releases — including updates, patches, and new features — to ensure seamless deployment and minimal business disruption. This position requires collaboration across IT, development, and business units to enhance ERP system reliability and optimize release processes.

Key Responsibilities
1. Release Planning

Maintain a comprehensive ERP release calendar.

Define scope, timelines, and dependencies with stakeholders.

Ensure standardized testing, approvals, and deployment workflows.

Identify risks and plan mitigation strategies, including rollback procedures.

Maintain accurate version control and release documentation.

Align release activities with business goals and ITIL best practices.

2. Release Deployment

Oversee technical and functional validation of ERP releases.

Coordinate with infrastructure and operations for production readiness.

Monitor deployment in real-time and troubleshoot any issues.

3. Post-Release Support

Conduct post-implementation reviews and document improvements.

Collaborate with incident management for timely resolution of issues.

Continuously refine release management processes.

4. Stakeholder Communication

Share release schedules, updates, and impacts across teams.

Serve as the main point of contact for release-related matters.

Provide regular status updates to senior management.

5. ITIL Compliance

Ensure all activities adhere to ITIL standards.

Integrate ITIL principles into continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and workflows.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

7–10 years of experience in ERP release management or IT service support.

ITIL v4 certification (Foundation or higher) is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of ITIL Change, Release, and Incident Management.

Hands-on experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics AX).

Familiarity with release management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Zendesk, JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Skills and Competencies
In-depth understanding of ERP architecture and functionality.

Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Capable of managing multiple, simultaneous releases.

Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Salary:
