Job Description
conducting research, and helping with various legal processes to ensure compliance with laws
and regulations. They may also assist attorneys in case preparation and provide administrative
support for legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Research:
◦ Conduct legal research on various topics, statutes, regulations, case law, and legal
precedents.
◦ Summarize research findings and provide actionable insights to other team members.
2. Document Preparation:
◦ Prepare discovery materials, assist with the exchange of documents, and help with trial
preparation.
◦ Assist in preparing legal filings and submissions with courts or regulatory agencies
◦ Simple legal document writing, like SPA, Board Resolution, Secretary Certificate etc.
3. Case Management:
◦ Support attorneys in managing ongoing cases by organizing case files, managing
deadlines, and ensuring all relevant documents are available.
◦ Maintain organized and up-to-date legal files, case documents, and other records.
◦ Track the status of contracts and ensure deadlines are met.
4. Certificate Application Support:
A. Property Management:
• Assist in filing and maintaining intellectual property rights in the Philippines, including the
preparation and submission of patent, trademark, and copyright applications to the
Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
• File necessary correspondence with IPOPHL, including coordinations with Paralegal and
attorney, responses to office actions, requests for examination, and other legal notices
related to intellectual property matters. Prepare and file Declarations of Actual Use (DAUs)
for trademarks and other IP rights.
• Conduct regularly update and track the status of ongoing intellectual property applications,
ensuring timely responses to deadlines, office actions, and procedural requirements. Provide
status updates to clients and the legal team regarding the progress of IP filings.
B. Philippine Standard (PS) & Import Commodity Clearance (ICC):
• Assisting in filing and maintaining related to Import Commodity Clearance (ICC)
• Assistance with customs compliance, including audits and record-keeping
• Guidance on the issuance of Import Commodity Clearances.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a legal role specially on IPO and DTI related field,
preferably in a corporate, law firm, or government setting.
• Skills:
◦ Strong legal research and writing skills.
◦ Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
◦ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
◦ Ability to communicate effectively with legal professionals and clients.
◦ Proficiency in MS Office applications.
