Job Description
Education & Training:
*High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
*Vocational training or technical certifications in machining, metalworking, or CNC operation are a plus
Technical Skills:
*Experience operating turret punch presses or turret lathes
*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
*Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
*Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup (basic G-code knowledge is often beneficial)
*Understanding of metalworking processes, tooling, and materials
. Experience:
* 1-3 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
* Experience with CNC or manual turret machines, setup, adjustment, and maintenance
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to lift heavy materials (often 50 lbs or more)
* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
*Standing for long periods and operating machinery safely
Soft Skills:
*Attention to detail and quality control mindset
* Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and adjustments
* Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members
* Dependability and willingness to work shifts if needed
