Job Description
-Conduct thorough assessments of all potential hazards & risk associated with toll packing operations.
-Design and implement specific safety programs (Hazard Identification, Risk assessment and Control)
-Assist government auditors and inspectors in the conduct of safety and health inspection at anytime whenever work is being performed.
-Proper implementation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all business unit.
-Ensure comprehensive Health & safety plans, procedures and protocols are in place for handling emergency situation.
-Develop and deliver safety training programs to all employees, including new hires, supervisors, and contractors
-Conduct regular inspections of the toll packing facility, equipment, and work practices to identify and correct potential hazards
-Investigate all accidents, near misses, and safety violations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
-Monitor safety performance metrics, such as incident rates, Loss Time Accident (LTA), near misses, and observations, as defined on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the client and communicate findings to management.
-Conduct audit & safety routine inspection for the entire business unit, area and facilities
-Monitors key Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) performance metrics to evaluate SHE program’s effectiveness.
-Check, validate, and review health and safety report compliances.
-Ensure 100% health and safety training compliances of all employees.
-Drive Safety & health program across all business units as requirement to government mandated program (DOLE)
-Ensures that all employees are fully aware of SHE policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field Knowledge on safety monitoring and practices
-Knowledge on government regulatory/mandated protocol and environmental compliance
-Several years of experience in health & safety management, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing industry.
-Strong understanding of OHSAS regulations and other relevant safety standards
-Certified Safety Professional certification is highly desirable
-40-Hours OSH training course applicable to industry
-Additional 48 Hours of Advance/specialize OSH training course
-At least 2 years’ experience in OSH
-Strong background and knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Concept
-Can communicate well and work under pressure
-Engineering Methodology and Six Sigma certified.
