Job Description
Responsible for overall Management of the Department, ensuring that targets are achieved and activities are properly implemented with full efficiency and effectiveness to achieved company’s optimum profitability and financial wellness.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
*Financial Reporting/Interpretation
-Responsible in providing reliable, accurate, timely & relevant financial information and reports and its interpretation to Management.
-Provide decision support to all levels of management by interpreting financial information in aid to formulation of business decisions and
strategies.
-Conduct review of balance sheet account schedules and subsidiary reconciliation.
-Review and analyze, cost center cost and expenses variances including Division and Branch performances.
- Responsible in ensuring that accounting policies and GAAP are complied with.
- Ensure that all financial transactions of the Company are in accordance with existing Company Policies and Procedures.
- Submit and review Japan reporting and related financial assessments, matrix, consolidation, including related Audit for group of company’s
including JSOX.
-Prepare and review the annual audited financial statements including submission to BIR, SEC and other reportorial requirements (ITR and
GFFS and others).
-Foster cooperation/coordination with external auditor and government regulatory agency representatives. Ensuring compliance on all tax laws and regulations. Negotiate with BIR for tax assessments and refunds.
* Financial Planning/Control /Budget
-Implement and ensure adherence to control policies and systems to ensure the protection and optimized utilization of company resources. In
addition, continuously evaluate, review and supplement if needed, for adequacy and effectiveness of controls.
-In charge of the effective fund management that includes cash, non-trade receivables, inventories, fixed asset.
- Prepare and implement approved annual operating and capital expenditures. (execution, mikomi and midterm plans) and review actual
results thereof. Conceptualize and formulate cost savings measures.
-Perform the review and analysis of product costing, cost, gross margins for merchandise and projects.
- Analyze Material Cost Ratio and collaborate with the Business Development Group on how the company can optimized the profitability.
-Approve Selling Price, discounts, product costing and BOM (Bill Of Materials) inside SAP.
-Manage Cash flow of the company, preparing projections and ensuring the maximum usage of company funds.
-Manage intercompany transactions including loans, interest and related payments.
-Finalize and approved banks transactions regarding fund transfer, currency conversion, forward contract, credit facilities, loan, investment and
other related transactions.
-Develop and implement department's approved policies and internal controls. Plans and organize the whole function of the department and
coordinate with other departments/sections to achieve better results.
- Approve request for payments, check vouchers, petty cash vouchers, and other company’s disbursement transactions.
- Ensure all company’s legal documents, permits and other business-related files are properly kept and compiled.
- Ensure business risks are properly identified and if needed, insurance coverage is adequately provided.
- Collaborate with MIS on information and technology development.
- Perform other task that may be assigned by the superior from time to time related to Management Division Functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A graduate of Bachelor Degree – in Accountancy, CPA preferred.
* With strong Background in General & Cost Accounting, Budget Preparation
* At least one year of experience as Manager handling Finance and Accounting functions.
* Exposure in Computerized Accounting System (CAS) using SAP.
* Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently; sound judgment and ability to manage confidential
issues.
