Job Description
Primarily responsible for providing efficient, relevant, and cost-effective HR services in Recruitment, Training and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Personnel Administration, Performance Management, and Records Management. This position is a member of both the management committee (Mancom) and the Human Resource Committee (HRcom), which decide on company issues. Involved in policy-making and implementation.
Responsibilities
-- Plans, organizes, directs, and monitors the activities of the department, including development and implementation of HR goals, objectives, and priorities for each KRA.
-- Develops, formulates, and implements strategies to achieve department objectives, particularly in promoting a positive working environment.
-- Ensures compliance with labor laws, especially in compensation, benefits, and disciplinary management.
-- Prepares and delivers management reports, including KRA reports and ratings.
-- Oversees the creation, updating, consolidation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
-- Maintains confidentiality of records and information.
-- Represents the company in dealings with government agencies and private sectors on HR and labor matters.
-- Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for Recruitment and Employee Relations (ER) issues.
-- Handles job-related projects as assigned.
Tasks
-- Participates in manpower planning and budgeting of HR expenses.
-- Reviews and approves HR-related documents, including job offers, employment contracts, and payment requests.
-- Monitors and ensures implementation of approved training plans.
-- Analyzes and consolidates monthly ratings company-wide.
-- Prepares documents for HRCOM meetings and ensures proper documentation of employee actions (promotions, transfers, terminations).
-- Approves payroll processing and ensures accuracy of benefits applications.
-- Negotiates terms with external service providers (ESP).
-- Implements employee relations and engagement programs.
-- Resolves labor and legal matters involving employees.
-- Reviews and updates HR policies and presents recommendations to EXCOM.
-- Collaborates with department heads on HR matters and promotes process improvement.
-- Coaches, develops, and provides feedback to team members.
Qualification Requirements
Minimum Required Education/Professional Licensure/Certifications:
-- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum Required Experience:
-- At least 15 years of HR generalist experience.
-- At least 5 years in an HR leadership role.
-- Preferably experienced in metrics-driven environments.
-- Experience in medium to large banking, financial organizations, or BPOs preferred.
