Job Description
The Marketing Manager for a sports retail company is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive sales and enhance the brand's presence in the market. This role involves a mix of traditional and digital marketing tactics to promote sports goods, apparel, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Marketing Strategies: Create comprehensive marketing plans that align with company goals. This includes market research, identifying target demographics, and planning promotional activities.
Manage Campaigns: Oversee marketing campaigns across various channels including social media, email, and traditional media. Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the brand's image by ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing materials.
Event Promotion: Plan, execute, and promote various sporting events to increase brand visibility. This includes securing sponsorships and partnerships.
Analytics and Reporting: Measure the success of marketing campaigns using analytics tools. Provide reports to management on performance and ROI.
Lead and Collaborate: Work closely with other departments such as sales and product development to create cohesive marketing strategies. Lead a team of marketing professionals and provide guidance.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in marketing, particularly in the sports or retail industry. Previous experience managing a team is beneficial.
Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, consumer behavior, and digital marketing. Familiarity with the sports industry and current trends.
Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in analytics software and marketing tools.
