Job Description

An HR generalist manages the human resources (HR) department of a company. They are responsible for many tasks, including hiring, training, and supporting employees, as well as ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities
Hiring: Interviewing and placing new employees, and creating an employer brand
Training: Running orientation sessions and training employees on company policies and procedures
Benefits: Designing benefits packages and administering pay, leave, and benefits
Employee relations: Supporting employees, and investigating claims of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct
Policies: Creating and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring legal compliance
Performance: Assisting with performance evaluations, and identifying and retaining key employees
Record keeping: Organizing employment records and processing paperwork
Communication: Communicating with employees, and maintaining employee handbooks and directories
Onboarding: Orienting new employees and helping them integrate into the company culture
