Job Description
* Manage and oversee two (2) or more geographically separated Service branches, ensuring all activities align with company objectives.
* Plan, organize and streamline all branch operations under him to uphold quality standards for regular and special service jobs related to elevators and escalators.
*Implement strategies to maintain high standards for service quality and performance across all branches.
2. Factory Inquiries and Contract Management:
*Monitor inquiries and requests submitted to factories such as MELCO, MELINA, AMEC, TMEC, KMEC, and SMEC, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
*Oversee the preparation, negotiation, approval, and renewal of contract proposals by Service Sales Engineers for newly handed-over and existing projects without prior contracts.
*Ensure timely renewal of annual paid maintenance contracts and monitor contract ratios to achieve target renewal rates.
*Collaborate with Service Sales Engineers on maintenance fee adjustments, ensuring alignment with company pricing strategies.
3. Special Service Projects and Financial Oversight:
*Track and ensure timely execution of approved special service proposals and monitor ongoing service jobs based on annual forecasts.
*Regularly assess and discuss the financial performance of Service branches with the Assistant Managers, ensuring financial goals are met.
4. Employee Performance, Development, and Manpower Planning:
* Monitor staff performance, ensuring branch targets are met.
*Develop and implement improvement plans for employees, providing coaching, feedback, and support for performance enhancement.
*Plan and oversee training and development initiatives to foster personal growth and prepare engineers for future leadership roles.
*Forecast and monitor manpower requirements to ensure sufficient resources are available for efficient service delivery.
5. Coordination with Other Departments:
*Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Parts Ordering, Branch Facility Improvements) to address Service branch concerns and ensure smooth operations.
*Ensure collaboration with the E/E Sales Department to check for any ongoing Sales negotiations with the same client or its affiliates before maintenance contract termination.
6. Revenue Recognition and Reporting:
*Monitor the monthly recognition of revenue in the Systems Application and Products (SAP) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Review and analyze branch reports and correspondences submitted by the team, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
7. Budget Preparation:
*Prepare the Mid-Year and Outlook Budget for Service branch operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and financial expectations.
8. Client Meetings:
*Attend client meetings as required to maintain relationships and address service-related concerns.
9. Approval of Payments and Requisitions:
*Approve payments, purchase requisitions, and other financial transactions within the scope of authority as defined by the company, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
10. Other responsibilities:
*Perform other service-related tasks as assigned to ensure the effective functioning of Service branches.
1. Graduate with a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, preferably licensed.
2. Must have at least six (6) years of experience in elevator/escalator servicing works, at least
three (3) years of which is in an assistant manager capacity.
3. Must have excellent communication skills, both in written and oral English and Filipino.
4. Can relate effectively to all types of people in the organization and with strong leadership potential.
5. Capable of training and teaching people.
6. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and organized self-starter.
7. Ability to interpret and analyze customer needs and technical specifications.
8. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is preferred.
