Job Description
The Importation Manager is responsible for overseeing the importation functions of the organization. This includes ensuring efficient and compliant import of goods and services, optimizing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards. The role requires strategic oversight, cross-departmental coordination, and external partner management.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement sourcing and purchasing strategies to enhance cost competitiveness, product quality, and delivery.
Ensures timely fulfillment of purchase requisitions and provides status updates.
Negotiates contracts with suppliers for favorable business terms.
Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and review contract compliance.
Sources for alternative suppliers in order to ensure supply availability and cost.
Ensuring continuous flow of supply of materials and timely response to purchase
request, adheres to “no stock out of materials” policy.
Develops and manages the importation budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and
adherence to financial targets.
Monitors and controls import-related expenses, including tariffs, duties, and freight
costs.
Validates and approves purchase orders.
Conducts data analysis on spending and recommends cost-saving initiatives.
Ensures compliance with national and international regulations, including customs
and trade laws.
Manage customs clearance and respond to inquiries.
Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes impacting importation.
Develops new supply sources and works with internal departments to ensure smooth
operations.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and resolve import-related issues.
Lead and mentor a team of importation professionals, providing guidance, training,
and support.
What were looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Customs Administration, or a related business field.
Must have 5-10 years of experience in a retail or trading industry with a focus on
importation and procurement.
Strong knowledge of import processes, procurement, compliance, and supply chain
management.
Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with teams, manage relationships, and handle complex
situations.
Office-based role with occasional travel and potential for working outside regular
hours.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: Onsite
Saturday: Remote work
Salary Range:
Php 60,000 - Php 80,000 (gross pay) Health Maintenance Organization (HMO):
Coverage of up to Php 100,000 (available upon regularization) Leave Credits:
Sick Leave: 5 days
Vacation Leave: 15 days (prorated for the calendar year)
Birthday Leave:
1 day (available after one year of service) Financial Assistance:
Probationary Employment: Php 3,000
