Job Description
1.2 Performs fire watching surveillance activities on areas where hot work — welding or cutting with torches — has occurred. Whereas welding and cutting activities both cause sparks and bits of molten metal to fly into the surrounding area. Hence,
Fire watch maintains a lookout for small fires started by these sparks and bits of slag. Should a fire begin to develop or occur, they execute their primary duty of sounding the alarm and, if possible, attempt to control the fire.
1.3 Performs cleaning of interiors of tanks to remove emulsion and incrustations, using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water, and solvents: Drains tank, connects hose to water or steam lines, and sprays walls, roof, and bottom of tank to flush residue, such as oil, acid, grease, and sludge through tank openings.
1.4 Scrapes and scrubs tank walls, using detergents, solvents, scrapers, and brushes to remove incrustations, scale, or deposits of catalyst.
1.5 Removes chemical residues and other liquids from tank bottoms with pump and suction hoses.
1.6 May perform routine, minor maintenance, installation, and repair or works which require with assistance.
1.7 Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
