Job Description
Procedures in coordination with the different operating departments to eliminate
work related injuries. Illnesses, deaths and financial losses.
2.2 Identify and eliminate occupational health and safety hazards for a safe and healthful working environment.
2.3 Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the company.
2.4 Promote the health, safety, environment protection and the well being of employees and workers so that they can perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
2.5 Oversees the development and implementation of fire prevention programs for incorporation into the operational policies of the company.
2.6 Conducts on-site investigations of accidents and incidents involving fire, hazardous materials, unsafe situations, and/or non-compliance issues as well as preparing reports and recommendations for procedural changes as necessary.
2.7 Oversees and manages the response to an investigation of hazardous condition report; review recommendations and/or take appropriate actions in order to mitigate safety, health and environmental risks.
2.8 Oversees the supervision of assigned personnel, which included hiring, work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
2.9 Establishes and implements safety goals/objectives, policies and procedures and evaluates its effectiveness for continuous improvement.
2.1 Conducts routine inspections to all vessels in the yard, buildings, facilities and
equipment for compliance with safety standards and report non-compliance and/or
hazardous conditions as well as recommends remedial actions as appropriate.
2.1 Collect data and other information necessary to monitor and update regularly the
health and safety performance.
