Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized Restaurant Receptionist to join our team at [Restaurant Name]. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a seamless dining experience from the moment they enter the restaurant. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception:

Greet guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
Manage the flow of guests in the dining area, keeping track of available tables and wait times.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

Reservation Management:

Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
Confirm reservations and manage any changes or cancellations promptly.
Maintain accurate records of bookings and update the reservation system regularly.

Customer Service:

Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
Provide information about the restaurant, menu, and special events.
Assist with special requests, such as arranging for birthday celebrations or accommodating dietary restrictions.

Communication:

Liaise with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Relay any special instructions or requests from guests to the appropriate staff members.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
Assist with general administrative tasks, such as printing menus, updating guest lists, and managing promotional materials.
Handle billing and payment processing when required.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using reservation software and MS Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Friendly and approachable demeanor.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
