Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Account Vendor Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with a strong track record in vendor management. They will be responsible for managing vendor accounts, monitoring subscriptions, ensuring optimal use of services, and negotiating favorable terms for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
-Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring all services are delivered as per the contracts and company needs.
-Contract Monitoring: Regularly check and review vendor contracts and subscriptions to ensure services are utilized effectively.
-Subscription Audit: Periodically audit subscribed services to verify usage and identify any underused services that can be canceled.
-Proactive Management: Start reviewing and negotiating contracts three months before their expiration. Prepare alternatives and options for management to consider.
-Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve the best possible deals for the company.
-Upgrade and Alternatives: Assess the need for upgrades or alternative services and initiate discussions with vendors well in advance of contract renewal dates.
-Cost Efficiency: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve service levels through effective vendor management and negotiation.
-Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, contract status, and cost-saving opportunities to management.
-Issue Resolution: Address any issues or discrepancies with vendors promptly to ensure continuous service delivery.
-Market Research: Stay informed about market trends and new vendors to ensure the company benefits from the latest and most cost-effective solutions.
-Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure vendor services align with business objectives.
Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
-Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vendor management or procurement.
-Skills:
-Strong negotiation and communication skills.
-Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
-Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
-Proficiency in vendor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Ability to manage multiple vendor accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
-Personal Attributes: Proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to foresee and address potential issues before they arise.
