Job Description
MERCHANDISING MANAGER (LICENSED CHARACTER APPAREL)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Planning & Business Development:
-Acquire and maintain major clients as well as licensed characters brands to ensure business sustainability and growth.
-Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy across all market segment (e.g. Kids Wear, Teens Wear, Men’s Wear, Ladies’ Wear, Maxwear, etc.)
-Analyze market trends, costumer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and product assortment.
Assortment Planning:
-Curate and manage the assortment of product samples, ensuring a different and appealing selection for buyer.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper sampling and demand planning.
Pricing and Profitability:
-Implement pricing strategies that balance customer value with profitability goals.
-Monitor and analyze pricing data to optimize margins while remaining competitive in the market.
Supplier Management:
-Identify and establish relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
-Monitor supplier performance, quality, and adherence to service level agreements.
JOB QUALIFICATION:
· College Graduate (BSBA, Fine Arts, Multi-media Arts, Textile & Garments Technology/ Bachelor of Technology Major in Apparel and Fashion or equivalent)
· Must have working experience as Merchandising Supervisor/Manager in the fashion retail Industry or outright
· Highly Analytical & with business acumen
· Must be people/customer oriented (Will work with/ collaborate with team of Designers/Merchandiser, Production, Supplier, Buyer/Key Account Client)
· Experience as Graphic Designer and expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is an advantage but not required.
Salary: 35k to 45k
