Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Anthropologist to document, preserve, and interpret the rich cultural legacy of the Prado family. This role involves in-depth research into the family’s genealogy, traditions, and societal contributions, and culminates in the creation of a museum or interpretive space that reflects their story. The ideal candidate is experienced in ethnographic research, oral history collection, and exhibit development, with a sensitivity to cultural heritage and a deep respect for familial narratives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive ethnographic research on the Prado family lineage, including oral histories, heirlooms, photos, letters, and other personal artifacts.
• Interview family elders and descendants to gather stories, cultural practices, and perspectives.
• Trace historical ties to local or national events, regional identity, and socio-political movements.
• Organize, catalog, and analyze family archives and collections.
• Develop curatorial narratives and design concepts for a dedicated family museum or heritage space.
• Work closely with architects and the family to ensure accurate and respectful representation.
• Draft exhibit texts, timelines, and genealogical visuals for public display.
• Recommend conservation practices for artifacts and heirlooms.
• Assist in writing a family history publication or catalog, if needed.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Anthropology or any related fields.
• Experience in genealogical and oral history research.
• Strong storytelling and archival documentation skills.
• Familiarity with exhibit planning and small museum development.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive or private family histories.
