Job Description

Key Duties and Functions of a Customs Declarant:
• Document Preparation and Submission:
Preparing and submitting accurate and complete goods declarations, including all supporting documents like invoices, packing lists, and permits, to the Bureau of Customs.
• Tariff Classification:
Determining the correct tariff classification of goods to ensure accurate assessment of duties and taxes.
• Compliance with Regulations:
Ensuring that all import and export activities comply with relevant customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Payment of Duties and Taxes:
Calculating, filing, and paying all applicable duties, taxes, and other charges related to the imported or exported goods.
• Customs Clearance:
Facilitating the release of shipments from customs custody by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and ensuring all requirements are met.
• Monitoring Shipment Status:
Tracking the progress of shipments from departure to arrival and clearance to ensure prompt release and delivery.
• Communication and Coordination:
Maintaining clear communication and coordination with clients, shipping lines, airlines, brokers, and other parties involved in the customs clearance process.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all customs-related transactions and documentation.
• Addressing Issues and Queries:
Responding to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the customs clearance process.
• Staying Updated:
Keeping abreast of changes in customs laws, regulations, and the like.
Salary:
₱17,000.00 Monthly
