Job Description
1. Strategic Financial Planning
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
Forecast long-term financial trends and recommend initiatives to improve profitability and reduce risk.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process.
Prepare financial forecasts and scenario planning.
Monitor performance against budgets and report variances.
3. Financial Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Prepare reports for the board of directors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
4. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
Oversee cash flow planning and ensure funds availability.
Manage banking relationships and optimize investment strategies.
5. Risk Management and Compliance
Identify financial and operational risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and tax requirements.
6. Team Leadership
Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
7. Internal Controls and Audit
Maintain robust internal controls and coordinate external audits.
Oversee internal audit processes to safeguard company assets.
8. Cost Management
Analyze costs and drive efficiency initiatives across the organization.
Implement cost-saving programs where necessary.
9. Business Partnership
Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and other executives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
10. Mergers, Acquisitions, and Investment Analysis
Evaluate business opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions.
Lead financial due diligence and integration planning.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) are often preferred.
- Proven experience in financial leadership roles.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
