Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, cash monitoring, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and inventory accounting processes across multiple branches.
Monitor sales reporting from POS systems and ensure proper recording and reconciliation with accounting records.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Ensure tax compliance (e.g., VAT, income tax, withholding tax) and support government filings and audit requirements.
Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Marketing) to ensure alignment on inventory and cost controls.
Train and supervise junior accounting staff ; review their work for accuracy and completeness.
Participate in financial planning and budgeting processes.
Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing the full accounting cycle, implementing process improvements, and handling special projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license is an advantage but not required.
At least 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or multi-branch setup.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., MYOB, SAP).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with POS and inventory systems is a plus.
Familiarity with local tax laws and regulatory compliance.

Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative to assist the Accounting Manager.
