Job Description

The Patient Relations Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining excellent communication between the laboratory, patients, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing top-notch customer care. This role involves handling patient inquiries, addressing concerns or complaints, and working closely with the Patient Service Team to ensure an efficient and patient-focused experience.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide clear and accurate information to patients and doctors about the preparations required for certain procedures.
- Attend to patient queries and needs in a professional and timely manner.
- Address patient and doctor requests, complaints, and other inquiries, ensuring satisfaction and positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Patient Service Team to ensure smooth patient flow, minimizing wait times and optimizing scheduling.
- Provide the highest level of customer care, ensuring that patients have a positive and supportive experience at all stages of their visit.
- Gather customer feedback and suggestions to improve services and patient satisfaction.
- Handle customer issues proactively, ensuring concerns are resolved and satisfaction is achieved.
- Coordinate with other teams to provide up-to-date work information, address queries, and resolve issues promptly.
- Investigate incident reports, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence and improve processes.
- Monitor patient schedules to prevent long waiting times and work with liaison officers to ensure smooth coordination.
- Update and maintain patient schedules, ensuring accurate and timely coordination of appointments.
- Carry out additional duties as required to support the ongoing needs of the team and department.

Job Requirements:

- Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience in customer service, patient relations, or healthcare support roles is an advantage.
- Strong ability to handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a calm, professional manner.
- Experience in coordinating schedules and managing workflows is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to resolving issues and enhancing the patient experience.
- Friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with patients, doctors, and staff.
