Project Controller – Role Summary

The Project Controller is responsible for monitoring project performance, costs, and profitability. In collaboration with Project Managers and cross-functional teams (hardware, software, commissioning, billing), this role ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, and financial targets, while proactively addressing variances.

Key Responsibilities

Project Financial Monitoring
Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets with a focus on profitability.
Track activity-level costs and analyze deviations from planned budgets.
Provide financial forecasts and recovery plans when needed.
Coordinate with Billing & Collection Officer to ensure accurate milestone-based billing.

Project Coordination
Support Project Managers in setting goals, timelines, and financial targets.
Collaborate with technical teams to align cost tracking with milestones.
Analyze project progress and generate profitability reports for leadership.

Reporting & Analysis
Conduct variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and reporting standards.
Utilize financial tools to consolidate and present project data effectively.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in project cost control or project financial management.
Proficiency with project management tools and financial software.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial reporting capabilities.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Ability to interpret data from diverse sources and align technical purchases with budget goals.
