Japanese Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Japanese Interpreter to join our growing team at SYC Philippine Corporation. As a Japanese Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication between our Japanese clients and our local staff. This full-time position is based in our Pasig City, Metro Manila office.

What you'll be doing

•Translate and interpret Japanese to English or vice versa to help communication between the Japanese client and the employee.

•Attend meetings to assist Japanese staff/clients to translate the message to employees.

•Receive calls from Japanese clients or Japanese staff.

•Assists CAD project (encoding of Nihongo document/application)

Qualifications

•Japanese Language Proficiency N3/N2 Level

•Preferably good at reading kanji

•Amenable to work in Pasig City

•Excellent Japanese and English communication Skills

•Can interpret an abstract conversation

•Willing to learn Engineering knowledge to assist the project.

What we're looking for

Fluency in both Japanese and English, with excellent speaking, writing, and translation skills

Strong knowledge of Japanese and Filipino cultural norms and business practices

Previous experience as a Japanese Interpreter or in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and build trust with diverse stakeholders

Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

A university degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
