Network Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (NE) to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise networking, including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, eBGP), firewall management (FortiGate), and systems performance optimization. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability of all network and server systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Maintenance
Design, deploy, and upgrade networking hardware and software, including software-defined network (SDN) layouts.
Maintain optimal performance of enterprise-wide routing systems, utilizing OSPF, BGP, and eBGP protocols.

System Availability & Performance
Ensure continuous network and server uptime by monitoring availability, performance, and capacity.
Implement growth-oriented configurations and recommend upgrades as needed.

Security & Backup
Configure and manage FortiGate firewalls, including ACLs, VPNs, and policy rules.
Set up automated backups for all network equipment and configurations to safeguard business continuity.

Service Delivery & SLA Management
Manage operational service levels and ensure adherence to internal and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Track and report key performance metrics and incidents.

Troubleshooting & Support
Resolve complex networking issues across multiple layers, including infrastructure, hardware, and security.
Provide escalation support for critical outages or configuration failures.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in network/system engineering and IT infrastructure management.

Technical Skills
Expert knowledge of networking protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, iBGP.
Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and VMware NSX.
Strong grasp of network security best practices and high-availability design.
Familiarity with monitoring tools and backup automation.
Relevant certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
