Job Description
1. Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
2. Manage stock levels ,emphasis the items and inventory and make key decisions about stock control
3. Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews
4. Provide or organize training and development
5. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
6. Respond to customer complaints and comments
7. Organize special promotions, displays and events
8. maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and
9. monitoring what competitors are doing
10. initiate changes to improve the business, such as revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete 11.effectively in the local market
12.deal with other aspects of the business, such as customer service, finance, human resources, information technology, logistics or marketing - whether you need to do this will depend on the size of the store.
