Job Description

As we continue to grow, we seek a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support our purchasing and inventory operations.
About the Role:
The Procurement Assistant will assist the offshore and onshore Procurement Teams in sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory for our home furniture stores. This role involves supplier coordination, order processing, stock monitoring, and ensuring timely product delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an eye for quality, and a passion for the furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and manage inventory using system processes and reports
· Request and raise purchase orders to minimize stock shortages
· Prepare and schedule incoming goods for the Operations team
· Provision of accurate information to key stakeholders
· Assist with analysis & maintenance of supplier pricing & details
· Obtaining quotes for the supply of materials, parts and services
· Investigation and resolution of any pricing discrepancies with suppliers promptly
· Data entry and record keeping
· Supplier relationship management.
· Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
· At least 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management (retail/furniture industry on_ International market _preferred).
· Strong negotiation and communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
· Knowledge of Australian furniture suppliers/market is a plus
