Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for implementing and managing core human resource functions, including Performance Management, Employee Relations and Engagement, Labor Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Administration, and HR Records and Reporting. The role supports the HR Manager and ensures compliance with internal policies and labor regulations while fostering a positive and performance-driven workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performance Management

Implement and manage Mid-Year Evaluation (MYE) and Year End Performance Evaluation (YEPE) cycles across all departments.
Prepare evaluation tools and disseminate self-evaluation links, direct report assessments, and feedback forms.
Generate and analyze Mid-Year Evaluation (MYE) and Year End Performance Evaluation (YEPE) summaries and ensure appropriate bell curve distribution.
Support the HR Manager in facilitating Ranking and Rating sessions with Department Managers.
Monitor implementation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and follow through on corrective actions.
Evaluate and Track and document employee movements (probationary, regularization, promotion, resignation, end of employment).
Ensure timely release of probationary evaluation links before the 3rd and 4.15th months.
Calculate final ratings and release probationary evaluation results to People Managers.
Ensure timely issuance of Employee Action Notices (EANs) for all employee status changes.

Compensation and Benefits

Maintain accuracy of salary data and allowances in HRIS and Masterfile.
Review timekeeping reports for accuracy before final HR Manager approval.
Prepare Management Committee (ManCom) coversheets every payroll cutoff.
Manage enrollment and deletion of employees in BDO Life Insurance and PhilCare/HMO systems.
Process requests for payment for additional insurance/HMO members.

Employee Engagement and Relations

Collaborate with HR team in planning and executing company-wide engagement activities and events.
Lead the organization and execution of the Year-End Party and other key events.
Create and disseminate holiday announcements and company-wide updates via email infographics.
Draft and route Notices to Explain (NTEs) and Notices of Decision (NODs) in coordination with HR Manager.
Maintain updated tracker for all employee disciplinary cases.
Prepare and distribute inter-office memos regarding HR policies and updates.
Serve as custodian of HR/Admin and ESCA International petty cash funds for routine expenses.

HR Reports and Records Management

Maintain the 201 file records of all ESCA International and Incorporated employees.
Submit weekly HR reports via HR & CEO MS Teams channel.
Prepare monthly HR analytics reports covering workforce demographics and attrition.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiar with HR Information Systems (HRIS)
Proficiency in Alchemer or similar survey and feedback platforms
Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices
Analytical and detail-oriented in handling data and reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of preparing professional-level reports, memos, and communications
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across level.
Hands-on experience in performance management cycle implementation
Background in employee relations and handling of administrative cases
Experience in organizing company events and employee engagement programs
Exposure to compensation and benefits administration
Familiarity with government-mandated benefits and insurance processing
