Job Description
Job Summary
Prepare and encode daily sales transactions in the accounting system-Quickbooks
Reconcile sales records in Quickbooks and POS reports
Prepare Account Receivables ledger per customer in relation to purchase order of fuel.
Monitor payments and balances of each account
Encode journal entry with request and approval of immediate head
Analysis of Balance sheet accounts such as Accounts Receivable, Prepaid Expenses, Advances to Officers and Employees, Suppliers, and Contractors, Accounts payable, Mandatory expense payable and accrued expenses.
Safekeep all related retail documents such as but not limited to contracts of lease, government permits, etc.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Retail Accounting Supervisor from time to time
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Financial Management or a related field serves as the foundational requirement for this role
Demonstrable experience of at least 1 year or similar role from a Petroleum Industry
Knowledgeable in MS Office Applications, Quickbooks and other Accounting Software
Good leadership skills
Keen to details
Good communication and verbal skills
Available to start ASAP
