Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial transactions, prepare financial reports, and ensure accuracy in financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports for accuracy and completeness.

Maintain and update accounting records and files.

Analyze budgets and create expense reports.

Post transactions to appropriate accounts in accounting software.

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

Assist in audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Develop financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safeguard company assets.

Communicate with clients or internal departments regarding financial matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Netsuite).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA certification (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent.

Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
