MARKET RESEARCH ANALYST
The Market Research Analyst acts as a strategic analyst with comprehensive market intelligence across all sales channels. This role focuses on optimizing product placement, promotional strategies, and distribution effectiveness (4Ps), while also analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to drive product portfolio development and market penetration.
Core Responsibilities:
• Competitive Landscape Analysis:
• Prior to brand onboarding considerations, conduct a thorough market research on existing brands to understand market saturation, consumer preference, ideal price, channels of distribution and competitive dynamics.
• Analyze competitor market share and identify potential competitive advantages.
• Provide insights on competitor strengths and weaknesses across all sales channels.
• Sales Trend Analysis:
• Analyze sales data to identify trends in product performance across different retail and foodservice accounts.
• Identify seasonal fluctuations and other factors affecting sales.
• Provide insights into the effectiveness of past sales and promotional activities.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Collect and analyze market data from various sources, including industry reports, trade publications, and online databases.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to the merchandising team and management.
• Retail/Foodservice Account Management Support:
• Provide data-driven insights to support account managers in developing effective sales strategies.
• Analyze account-specific sales data and identify opportunities for growth.
• Monitor account performance and provide feedback on merchandising execution.
