Safety Engineer

What you'll be doing
Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a culture of safety
Investigating and reporting on incidents and accidents, and recommending corrective actions
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices
Providing expert advice and guidance to management on all matters related to workplace safety
Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support safety initiatives and demonstrate compliance

What we're looking for

Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer in the industrial or manufacturing sector
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate safety risks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organisation
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards
Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable
