Job Description
The Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical and engineering aspects of plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable manufacturing of electrical products such as synchronizing panels, circuit breakers, panelboards, switchgears, ATS, MTS, and capacitor banks. The role involves planning, coordinating, and improving manufacturing processes, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in production quality and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process and Production Oversight
Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical assemblies.
Ensure production methods comply with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with design, QA/QC, and production teams for technical improvements.
Equipment and Maintenance
Supervise installation, calibration, and maintenance of machinery and tools.
Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
Project Management
Lead plant improvement projects including layout modifications and equipment upgrades.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for management review.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for equipment and facility needs.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local codes.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support the implementation of ISO or other quality management systems.
Cost and Efficiency Optimization
Analyze production costs and implement methods for cost reduction.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve productivity.
Monitor energy usage and implement conservation measures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical product manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and industrial equipment.
Experience with AutoCAD or other design/drafting software is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
Knowledge of safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, IEC).
Salary Range 20 to 25k
