ERP Test Management and QA Specialist

Job Summary
An experienced ERP Test Management & QA Specialist is sought to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive testing strategy for a critical ERP project. This role ensures the solution meets all functional and non-functional requirements, emphasizing accuracy, reliability, and performance. The specialist will manage the full testing lifecycle—from planning and execution to defect resolution and continuous improvement—while integrating ITIL best practices and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams. Key focus areas include quality assurance, test automation, service validation, and seamless ERP deployment.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Test Strategy & IT Service Alignment
Develop and implement test strategies for ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

Align testing processes with ITIL service management principles, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management.

Define test scope, objectives, and deliverables while managing test data and environments.

2. Test Execution & Documentation
Design and execute both manual and automated test scripts to validate ERP functionality.

Track and report defects using test management tools, collaborating with relevant teams for resolution.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of test activities and outcomes.

3. Defect Management & Resolution
Manage timely communication and tracking of defects.

Analyze recurring issues and provide recommendations for sustainable solutions and process enhancements.

4. Collaboration & ITIL Integration
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, IT service management, and stakeholders to align testing efforts with ITIL policies.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating test cases and results validation.

Provide training on ERP testing best practices within an ITIL service lifecycle context.

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Prepare detailed reports including test outcomes, defect trends, and improvement recommendations.

Update stakeholders on testing progress and associated risks.

Lead QA reporting and contribute to process enhancements based on metrics and feedback.

Stay informed on evolving ERP testing tools, ITIL practices, and QA methodologies.

Job Specifications
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

7–10 years of proven QA experience in software projects, with expertise in both manual and automated testing.

Proficient in SQL for test data validation.

ITIL v4 certification (Foundation or higher) strongly preferred; solid understanding of ITIL disciplines.

Familiarity with test management and project tracking tools.

Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices.
