Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze variances and provide insights to support decision-making.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals from Head Office and Affiliates
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the accounting team.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning.
Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local regulations.
Oversee the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors during audits.
Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.

Cash Management:
Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs.
Monitor banking activities and reconcile bank statements.
Optimize working capital and recommend improvements in cash management processes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Implement best practices in accounting processes to streamline workflows.
Leverage technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Collaborate with the CFO and President to drive strategic financial decisions.
Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support the company and its affiliates in decision-making.
Provide financial data and insights to assist in strategic planning.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience 3 years in a managerial accounting role from a Petroleum Industry
Strong knowledge of accounting processes, government tax compliance law, and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
