Job Description

Responsibilities
The role of the Finance and Accounting Assistant Manager is to support the Finance and Accounting Manager in the management of the finance and accounting department and in the implementation of its processes and continuous cost efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. The responsibilities of the Finance & Accounting Assistant Manager are not limited to routine tasks but also involve preparing month-end closing reports, maintaining the trial balance, checking balance sheet accounts, reconciling accounts, preparing inventory reports, and monthly tax preparation. These tasks offer a challenging and fulfilling work environment for the right candidate. To excel in this role, the Finance and Accounting Assistant Manager must be detail-oriented and an effective problem solver. They should also be able to check and compile financial reports and possess knowledge of business/corporate taxation.

• Compiles monthly financial statements, reports, and attachments for management reporting.
• Drafts and prepares annual financial statements.
• Consolidates inventory report.
• Assists the Finance and Accounting Manager on the execution of financial process and projects of the company.
• Validates general ledger transactions.
• Analyzes financial reports and give recommendations for improvement of financial condition.
• Maintains tax balance on general ledger.
• Responsible in submitting financial data as may be required by top management or Finance & Accounting Manager.
• Performs overall supervision of Accounting & Taxation Team
• Prepares details needed for monthly tax returns such as Expanded, Compensation, VAT, Final Withholding tax, DST payments etc. and its quarterly attachments.
• Identifies tax Implications on any transactions and provides resolution if necessary.
• Supports in managing tax compliance process of the company.
• Handles and provides details needed on tax audit on a timely manner.
• Monitors bank and cash reconciliation.
• Participates in annual inventory count.
• Participates in Internal Audit.
• Ensures on-time securing of business permits and clearances to ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, business administration, economics or similar
• At least (7) five years’ of related experience
• At least (5) five years’ experience in leading a team
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to analyze and understand financial data
• Expert in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform accurately with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
• Desire to work as a team with a result-driven and data-guided approach
• Does not go with the flow and have the desire to bring change/improvement to the organization
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
