Mechanical Engineer (Mining)

Design and Development:
• Design and modify mechanical systems and equipment used in mining operations, such as crushers, conveyors, drilling rigs, and other mining machinery.
• Ensure that all designs meet safety and regulatory standards, while also optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Oversee and manage the preventive maintenance programs for mining equipment to maximize uptime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and issues, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Perform regular inspections and assessments of mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Plant Operations Support:
• Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure that plant machinery is operating at peak performance.
• Provide technical support and advice to plant personnel on mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure that all mechanical systems and equipment comply with industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments on mechanical equipment and systems and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the plant and provide guidance on safety protocols for mechanical operations.
Project Management:
• Lead or assist with mechanical projects, including the installation and commissioning of new equipment, plant upgrades, or modifications.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and reports, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
