Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital’s accounting operations, and financial reporting functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Track records, plan, and file all local taxes, along with internal and external financial reports
a. Computation of taxes payable and BIR program transmittal
b. Computation of contribution remittance and transmittal
c. Filing of returns and documents
• Prepare and Process Business Permits and Licenses
• Oversee payroll and budgeting processes to ensure the flow of operations
• Manage Petty Cash Fund and Revolving Cash Fund.
• Manage and ensure efficient Cash and Check Disbursements (professional fees, payments to suppliers, allowances of founders and officers, among others)
• Monitor and ensure efficient flow of credit and collection activities.
• Oversee the accounting operations in other departments under the Finance Division:
a. Billing Department
b. Cash Services Department
c. Philhealth Department
d. HMO Department
e. Purchasing Department
f. Property and Inventory Department
g. Supervise accounting staff and assist their concerns.
• Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report it to the hospital management.
• Implement and evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
• Assist in auditing activities (internal and external) by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Responsible in creation and revision of Financial Manual of the hospital. He/she shall assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll. This also includes review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.\
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises the Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training Accounting staff; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing departmental complaints and concerns.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:

Education, Licenses, Certificates:
• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
• Updated PRC Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Work Experience:
• At least five (5) years relevant supervisory experience.
