Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer specializing in SAP Basis and HANA Database Administration. This role involves managing SAP and non-SAP system requests, troubleshooting critical issues, performing system maintenance, and optimizing performance. The ideal candidate must be adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage issues, requests, and changes in SAP and non-SAP systems while ensuring SLA compliance.
- Handle Severity 1/2 issues, providing technical support and coordinating with Functional & Applications Teams.
- Serve as Level 1 and 2 Support for HANA Administration.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly system refresh for QA and Staging systems.
- Perform performance tuning of SAP systems based on OSS Notes, EarlyWatch Alerts (EWA), and best practices.
- Manage System Landscape Configurations and Operations.
- Plan and execute SAP Kernel Upgrades, SAP OSS Notes, SAP Add-Ons, and Support Packages with risk and impact analysis.
- Oversee Capacity Management to ensure systems handle workload demands, especially during critical periods (year-end, quarter-end).
- Coordinate with Functional and Application Owners to explain maintenance activities and manage critical issues.
- Stay open to learning new technologies such as CHEF, Terraform, AWS, and Python.
- Evaluate options, generate solutions, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Basis and HANA Database Administration.
- Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills in SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Experience in system refresh, performance tuning, and system landscape management.
- Familiarity with capacity planning and workload management.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, particularly in handling Severity 1/2 issues.
- Willingness to learn and work with automation and cloud technologies (e.g., CHEF, Terraform, AWS, Python).
