Your Role:

Patient Communication

Inbound Calls for Billing Questions
Inbound Calls to collect patient payments for outstanding bills using a virtual payment terminal for account posting

Denials A/R for Eligibility and Coverage Related Denials

Communicate with our Patient Financial Services team to verify eligibility of patient insurance plans when claims are denied stating we have billed the wrong payor, or that the plan has terminated/no longer active
Reach out to patients to obtain updated insurance information to resolve claim denials
Reach out to patients to notify them of claim denials pertaining to their Coordination of Benefits (COB) needed to be updated to resolve claim denials
Provide excellent phone and email etiquette when conversing with our insurance payors and patients
Attend Monthly Department Meetings
Familiarity with Google Suite products
Familiarity with EPIC Resolute Billing
Dermatology Billing is preferred but not required
Customer Conflict Resolution and De-Escalation
Stronger emphasis on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) over Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
