BETA SPRINGS was founded in June 1982 by Engr. Abraham N. Dizon, a licensed Mechanical Engineer, who saw the potential of a machine shop business while innovating air rifle components in a family-owned sporting goods business. As its name denotes, the firm specializes in spring fabrication but was equally proficient in providing general machine shop services. DAVAO BETA SPRING, INC. was incorporated in 1990 to succeed the single proprietorship of “BETA SPRINGS.” Since then, the Corporation has continually expanded its products and services line to achieve its mission then, which was to be a “metalworking one-stop shop,” a shop than can provide services from metal fabrication to metal finishing. To date, DAVAO BETA SPRING, INC. is currently equipped with machines such as CAD-CAM/CNC equipment, automatic lathes, turret lathes, milling machine, stamping machines, shaper, bending machine, shear cutter, press brake, a thread rolling machine, TIG and MIG welding machines, a plasma cutter, among others, that can cater to general machine shop services, as well as general manufacture. The Corporation is also equipped with specialized finishing equipment for powder coating and hot dip galvanizing. It also has a partnership with BETACHROME, INC. that provides finishing services such as hard chrome plating, decorative chrome plating, brass plating and zinc plating. Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) have been an integral part of the practice since 2011 and 2012, respectively. Comprehensive training and specialization programs have enabled the Company to constantly raise its level of service to a widening circle of Clients in the agricultural, power/pole line, petroleum, mining, canning and bottling sectors

Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and coordination of the project, focusing on non-cost-related aspects such as documentation, progress tracking, and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Coordination:
Manage and communicate between teams for project aspects that do not involve cost changes.

2. Progress Monitoring:
Track project milestones, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure the completeness and accuracy of project-related documents, including:

4. As-built Drawings:
Verify that final project conditions match design intent.

5. Certificates of Compliance (COC):
Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.

6. Packing Lists:
Ensure proper inventory and shipment documentation.

7. General Oversight:
Supervise site and factory execution to ensure adherence to specifications.

8. Customer Progress Meetings:
Attend and report on project status, addressing technical concerns.

9. Overlay Drawings:
Compare and verify project drawings against actual site conditions to prevent discrepancies.

10. Quality & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards.
