Job Description
Position: ACU Technician
Job Overview:
ACU Technician is a professional who installs and repairs various home heating and cooling system. ACU Technicians work with furnaces as well as thermostats and air conditioning systems to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout a customer’s home or office building.
Carries out preventive maintenance of Air Conditioning equipment and systems. Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls. Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions. Repair and preventive maintenance of Air Conditioning Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Installs new air conditioning systems and refrigerators in buildings or replacing existing units
• Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to keep them running efficiently and prevent breakdowns
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with malfunctioning air conditioning and refrigerator units
• Conducts performance tests on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to assess their efficiency and calibrating controls to ensure accurate temperature settings
• Categorize and organize inventory to limit unnecessary losses to the company
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical knowledge
• Problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• At least one (1) year of experience in a similar or related role
• Knowledge of HVAC including relevant equipment and tools is a plus
• Must be TESDA Certified with NC II Certificate
• Basic Computer Knowledge (Microsoft) is a plus
