Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The Medical Coder is responsible for accurately assigning codes to medical procedures, diagnoses, and services, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, reimbursement, and data integrity within our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze medical records, including physician notes and test results, to accurately assign appropriate codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines, government regulations, and insurance requirements.
Collaborate with the revenue cycle manager to clarify and obtain necessary documentation for accurate coding.
Work closely with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure timely and accurate claim submission.
Perform regular audits of coding accuracy and assist in resolving coding-related discrepancies.
Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry developments.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical coding practices.
Ensure compliance with privacy laws, and data security guidelines, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any field but with coding experience.
Fresh graduates from any medical related course are welcome to apply.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software is an advantage.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Candidates should be comfortable working with various computer applications and software. Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and data entry systems is crucial.

Experience:
No experience is required. Fresh graduates of Medical Allied Courses are welcome to apply.
Applicants with CPC Certification or Licensed coders across various specialties, such as family medicine, are a plus.
