Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure proper approvals before payment.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
Enter and maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and outstanding balances.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
